Coming of Age as a Worker

Just as the Duke of Bedford came of age as a worker, we all must do our part.

Most children in London were not even given the opportunity to come of age.

Seventy-five percent of children born in London died before they were five.

Someone working as a governess like Jane Eyre would have very
limited space to work.

Something went wrong for Ophelia as she came of age as a worker.

This little man is doing his part.

  1. Hahaha I love that you posted the picture of the little jockey on the horse!

I think you did a good job of showcasing special things from each place we have visited and showing how they came about as workers and representations of the environment they lived/worked in.

  2. That's so sad about the children! I didn't even notice that!

As Jill said, you did do a great job of show casing special things from each place. You noticed some things that I did not.

  3. Some interesting choices but the first and last seem to be almost completely disconnected from the topics and themes that we've tracked all week. When bringing unexpected images to light, be sure to use your text to make explicit why they're there. They seem quite random.
